So, probably “the first” trig station ever in Australia, and the first by Thomas Mitchel under Governor Darling. A mix of walking track and fire trail to the base of Mount Jellore. Track to summit has loose rocks but not too steep. View point past the trig to the north worth going to.
Grade 4 walk when including the last leg to the summit. A grade 3 walk to the south rock wall of the summit. Hazards: Loose rocks on summit track. Location: Jellore State Forest Map: Mittagong 8929-2S and Hilltop 8929-2N Limit:15. T: From: 29 Nov 2023, 9:00AM |
