  (Date Changed) The Bargo River flows into Mermaid Pools and then on through the Tahmoor Gorge. This walk beside the river passes next to the pools and then descend to the gorge and river. Impressive views of the Mermaid Pools and water falls and cascades in the gorge. The track joins the valley floor and crosses the river twice then returns to the cliff edge via Rosies Pass. Return back to cars via views of Mermaid Pools and the Bargo River. Hazards: Hazards include slippery rocks, steep descents, river crossings. Map: Picton 9029-4S Limit:16. Train arriving at 8:27 am at Tahmoor Station departs from Campbelltown at 7:51 or Central 6:41. Driving to the car park for Mermaid Pools is located off Rockford Road and Charlies Point Road, near bridge over Bargo River. Meeting at 8:50, after pick up of any train travellers from Tahmoor.
