(Date Changed) Expressions of Interest sought for a four week adventure including plenty of opportunity for walking. It will operate as a tag-along (self-drive convoy) 4WD trip with new locations on most days. You may camp, attach a vehicle camper (preferred) or tow an off-road camper-trailer.
Mallee country, visiting Murray-Sunset NP, Big Desert Wilderness Park & Wyperfeld NP featuring a vast desert with saltbush flats and grassland plains scattered with sand dunes and the famous Pink Lakes are outstanding subjects for photography, with large numbers of emus, kangaroos, native birds, attractive woodlands and colourful spring wildflower displays.
Followed by The Grampians NP, spectacular mountain peaks and dramatic rock formations feature picturesque waterfalls, panoramic views and fascinating Aboriginal rock art sites. Dramatic lookouts and a network of excellent walking tracks. The massive sandstone ramparts of the Grampians rear up from the western end of Victoria’s Great Dividing Range, reaching more than 1000 metres above the surrounding fertile plains. Known as Gariwerd by the local Aboriginal people, it has an indigenous history stretching back for thousands of years.
