Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFirst time friendly | A trip that is perfect for most new members (assuming you have a reasonable level of fitness)Public Transport | There are public transport options to and from this activity.(NEW!!!) This walk starts with a bus ride from Central station, then follows roads and bicycle paths through suburbs and parks; the route is fairly flat, but includes a little uphill, a few steps, and an escalator! The walk takes us past a community developed laneway, a constructed wetland, a repurposed tramshed, a restored Buddhist temple, the gentrified shore of Blackwattle Bay, a reinterpreted incinerator and the new Fishmarket. There’ll be an option to explore the Fishmarket, or buy a late lunch before taking the Light Rail to Central. Hazards: bicycles, busy road crossing.
