  At Kangaroo Point an exciting & newly opened boardwalk along the Hawkesbury River waterfront links up continuously with a path all the way to Brooklyn village. This boardwalk meanders through untouched mangrove, salt marsh ecosystems & native bush land brimming with birdlife & nurseries of fish & crabs. It gives a breathtaking & panoramic view of the Hawkesbury River. If time permits (& optional) we can take an interesting ferry ride to Dangar Island for a 3 km loop walk on this no car former fishing village. Here we can look at evidence of life through the ages of early indigenous people, colonial past, wartime & the present.
