 (Updated Details) From the end of Jack's Corner Road follow Griffins Fire Trail a short distance to a track to the left. Follow this through the forest to a steep descent to the main dirt road leading to Beehive Point on Lake Yarrunga. This is a lovely picnic area and chance for a swim. After lunch we will explore a part of the Timelong track with its sandstone embankments and see where the track disappears under Lake Yarrunga. Return via the same track.
A car will be positioned at Beehive Point to provide transport back to Jacks Corner for anyone seeking to avoid the 6km uphill walk out. Hazards: Rough track and some steep sections both up and down.
