    (NEW!!!) Walking from Fortress Ridge track car parking area on Mt Hay Road. Taking in views at Fortress Ridge Rock lookout, then down the track to Dr Dark’s cave for morning tea. Going past the cave to the cliff side lookout before returning back to the cave. Turn off the track to the cave for a short off track section to Fortress Ridge track.
Continue on Fortress Ridge track and down to falls on Fortress Creek. Lunch at the Falls with views into Govetts and Gross valleys. Return on Fortress Ridge track to Mt Hay road.
Hazards: Hazards include slippery rocks and loose rocks. Off track section is 600 m with 140 m elevation gain and is where loose rocks will be encountered.
