Canyon | A trip through a canyon (a gully surrounded by tall cliffs).Swim | A trip that involves swimmingWalk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPhotography | A trip that has a strong focus on encouraging people to capture photographs.Corkscrew canyon is in the upper section of South Bowen creek drainage system and is a relatively easyish canyon to do as it does not involved any abseils or long swims but rewards the curious hiker with stunning constricted passages, sculptured clifflines, gorgeous cascades and pools and the chance to see an area not all that often visited. Helmet, wetsuit, drybag and a PFD required for those who aren't competent swimmers. Hazards: rock scrambling and offtrack
