Corkscrew canyon is in the upper section of South Bowen creek drainage system and is a relatively easyish canyon to do as it does not involved any abseils or long swims but rewards the curious hiker with stunning constricted passages, sculptured clifflines, gorgeous cascades and pools and the chance to see an area not all that often visited. Helmet, wetsuit, drybag and a PFD required for those who aren't competent swimmers. Hazards: rock scrambling and offtrack
