Paddle | A canoe or kayak tripSlow pace | A trip where the leader will set an easy pace.(Leader Changed) Bundanoon Creek offers some spectacular cliff faces.  From Tallowa Dam Picnic area we head NE up Lake Yarrunga (Kangaroo River) for 2.5km then head north into Bundanoon Creek for 4.5km to the head waters. On the return, we will take a short 2km detour up Sandy Creek before heading back to the start. Participants to provide their own craft & are required to wear a correctly fitted PFD. Deep water. Few exit points. Exposed in high winds.

Paddle | A canoe or kayak tripSlow pace | A trip where the leader will set an easy pace.(Date Changed) From the camp ground at Beehive Point we will head up Yarrunga Creek for 4 kms to the head of waters. On the way we will view the magnificient stone walls of the original road from Kangaroo Valley to Mossvale. See the old road disappear into the waters of Lake Yarrunga and reappear further upstream.  On return to Beehive point we can optionally poke around the numerous inlets for some bonus paddles. Participants to provide their own craft & are required to wear a correctly fitted PFD. Deep water. Few exit points. Exposed in high winds. Approx 100 m of portage down a road to launch area.

Grade: Medium - PFDs compulsory.  Distance: About 15km.  Details: Launch from near the caravan park in River Road at Sussex inlet (just before crossing the bridge over the lagoon). Paddle into St George's Basin for morning tea at lovely Oaky Island. Paddle down the inlet to the entrance and return to the boat ramp near the bowling club. Helen’s annual picnic to celebrate of the end of school holidays, reclaiming the roads and scenic spots from the visitors. This year's picnic will be at Swan Lake, near Sussex Inlet. We can swim, paddle, stroll, float, chill out, chat, and picnic or indulge in the lot.  Arrive 10am if you want to paddle for a couple of hours on the lake and creek, or come around noon for the picnic bit.  Contact: Email helenmd12@gmail.com if you plan to come and Helen will provide precise instructions to reach the best beach for the event.

Car camping Weekend Friday 14th, Saturday 15th, Sunday 16th of February 2025.  As it will be in the middle of summer and possibly hot activities will not be set in concrete.  However walks from Bundeena to Wattamolla will be available on the Saturday. Multiple walk leaders and paces.  Sunday wander across the bridge to Maianbar.  Plenty of opportunity for swimming, kayaking, paddle boards, beach cricket, music and singalongs. BYO instrument. Or just relax in the campground and watch the sun go down from the beach. Kayaks can be hired or bring your own water craft. Explore the beautiful Cabbage Tree Basin. Small to medium tents are the go. No Taj Mahals. Bookings at Bonnie Vale Camping Ground are essential.

For those wanting a shorter (17km) paddle will launch from Swallow Rock Reserve, Grays Point. We will make our way down Hacking River and up SW Arms Ck into the RNP & stopping at Winnifred Falls for lunch then return. Participants to provide their own craft & are required to wear a correctly fitted PFD. Tidal. Deep water. Possible wake from motorboats.
