Travelling by a fast train and then by bus, we reach the Princess Marina Track and follow it to the beautiful Kellys Falls and beyond, through distinctly different bushland to that is around Sydney or the Blue Mountains. From here we walk around to see some stunning views from the escarpment over the coast, before descending 150 metres down to Stanwell Park station for the journey home. Most of the walk is fairly flat except for the descent to Stanwell Park. Uneven and possibly slippery track surfaces, creek crossings and some tracks with steep drops to their side. A slow-paced meander around one of the gems of the Branch, an urban park with so much wildlife and stunning scenery and not so far through suburbia to the start of the walk if coming via public transport. Cars required please. Meet in Springwood railway car park near the mural. Drive to White Cross Road, Winmalee. Grotto. Up Springwood Ridge Fire Trail, past St Columba's High School. Continue to smaller track and then steep down. Reach Blue Gum Forest track. Up short cut track to Shaws Ridge. Tracks back to cars. Steep, rough, slippery, edges Map: Springwood 90304S Limit: 15. View
