(Updated Details) From Thirlmere Lakes NP, head into Nattai NP and walk along Blue Gum Creek and enjoy the Blue Gum Forest. There will be two walk options. Both walks will pass through the Blue Gum Forest. Short option will walk along the mostly flat fire trail through the Blue Gum Forest for 6 km and return to start (12km return). The longer walk option will continue another 3km to the junction of Little River and then return (total 18km). Option 1: Mostly flat on a well-maintained fire trail. Turn down a Canyoners Track to Macquarie Rivulet and follow back to The Cascades car park. Slippery, steep, off track, scrambling on narrow rough track. Can be quite muddy in places.
