Starting from Helensburgh Station, we will complete a circuit walk in the Conservation area around Wilson Creek Dam and visit the tunnel portals from the original Illawarra Railway line, now abandoned. We are walking from Lapstone Station, through the forest down to the Nepean River and visiting the historic Penrith Regional Gallery on the way. We will walk around the river with lovely views and a bit of history. We are planning to finish at Penrith Station, though an early exit at Emu Plains is possible. Minimal rain, if any, is forecast for Penrith at the time of writing. Booking is essential. Paths can be slippery when wet. Map: Penrith 90303N Limit: 20. View
