Explore the intertidal rock platform at Long Reef. Suggest shorts with warm upper layers; bring a change of shoes as they will get wet. Intertidal ID sheets will be provided. The walk experience will be enhanced by completing Marine Life of Sydney course beforehand (www.marineexplorer.org) but this is optional. Slippery rock, sharp shells, exposure. Limit: 12. View

Mt White to Bar Point. This is a stage of the proposed long distance track, the Great River Walk down the Hawksesbury. This is largely off track and the going will be slow but we travel through rarely walked country with the river on both sides of us. We finish at the isolated settlement of Bar Point where a water taxi will take us to Brooklyn. Off track bush and uneven ground Limit: 12. Map: Gunderman; cowan View

Into the Fireground - A botanical ramble through the October 2013 fireground searching for flowering plants and other flora highlights. Will the Waratahs be in flower yet. Roger has been documenting fire impacts in this area for many years. Old clothes best as the plants are still covered in soot. Mainly off-track. Burnt sticks can pierce walking shoes. One short steep climb down a rock face. Swamp crossing through cutting grass and saw sedge. Limit: 8. Map: Wollangambe View
