Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longSlow pace | A trip where the leader will set an easy pace.The walk begins at Meryla Pass in Morton NP.  From the locked gate continue on the Fire Trail along the ridge.  The first section is a fairly steep fire trail but flattens out and then follows along a track.There are several viewpoints which look towards Mt Carrialoo, Crankey's Creek and Lake Yarrunga until reaching the end of the track overlooking Wombat Hill.  If conditions are suitable we push through on a less defined track to Yarrunga Trig for great views down to the jnct of Yarrunga Creek & Kangaroo R. On the return there is an optional trail leading to Rebecca's View over Sandy's Creek on the other side of the ridge. Hazards: Hazards: Rough track and unfenced cliffs. Off track for extension to the trig.
