  We are walking from the West Ryde railway station through parklands alongside the Parramatta river before crossing this river and walking along the foreshore of Homebush Bay. We will follow this track through Sydney Olympic Park where we will climb various viewing towers, view remains of shipwrecks and the waterbird refuge before climbing the Big Marker for a view of the surrounding area. As we head for our Olympic Park Station destination, we will visit the site of the former brickworks. There will be some street walking but the majority of the walk will be on paved paths and tracks.
