Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long60 Best walks | This is one of the NPA's 60 best walks.(Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) This trip will showcase just what a spectacular place the Western Budawangs is! We will start our journey from the campsite at Wog Wog and travel via Corang Peak, Corang Arch, Profile rock to a comfortable camp cave at Burrumbeet brook. Then on day two we travel over Mt. Tarn to the superb camp cave situated on Mt. Haughton, complete with nearby waterfall. On our last day we travel via Stiles creek, Round mountain, the Endrick River and the Redgrounds track back to our cars near the Alum creek firetrail. In every way this is a walk on the wild side and with the briskness of Winter upon us a warming campfire at night and the stars above, this will certainly be one memorable walk worth doing.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFirst time friendly | A trip that is perfect for most new members (assuming you have a reasonable level of fitness)Photography | A trip that has a strong focus on encouraging people to capture photographs.Rising high above the surrounding farmlands is an isolated ridge of pink and grey granite, the stunning, and in places rugged, Evans Crown nature reserve, where there are many outcrops certainly worth exploring and climbing for the magnificent views over the surrounding countryside. Also, at this time of the year the wattle is usually in full flower so the hills are covered in gold making walking in the area even more compelling! Who knows, maybe a dusting of snow is not impossible as the area does get the odd coverage now and again! rock scrambling

Of course that's only a short section of this hike as we climb up onto the lofty Illawarra escarpment for stunning coastal views as we make our way to Sublime point for a well earned plate of optional hot chips or anything else that takes your fancy from the cafe there. Before descending down the amazing steel staircase to the valley floor below to catch the train back to Sydney. lots of steps

From Rock Bottom we will access Point Hatteras via a route that follows under the clifflines below Point Hatteras and after ascending to the top will visit the Cape as well as the very interesting Mine in the Sky before descending via a route to the north of Airly Turret. This is definitely one of my favourite walks in the Mugii Murum-Ban SCA as it shows off some of the most spectacular country in this fabulous location including an eagles eye view into the Valley of the Dinosaurs along with more pagodas than you can point a boot at!We will visit the Ultimate slot on the way back as it is only a short sidetrip! Once we leave the firetrail it is all offtrack walking along Treasure chest ridge but it is not terribly difficult. I've put the walk length at 6 kms but that is only if we are able to drive most of the way up the access road. If the access gate is closed add 4 extra kms. rock scrambling and offtrack walking

One of the classic lower mountains walks is this superb route that descends via the ruggedly beautiful Pisgah Rock and then we rock hop up to the historical Dadder Cave for a look, before experiencing the stunning beauty of the Erskine creek gorge and an easy ascent via Jack Evans track. At this time of the year the Barren Grounds is full of colour as Spring comes early to this enchanting nature reserve near the town of Robertson. On this circuit we will visit the various lookouts including Cooks Nose which has spectacular views over Foxground valley. Expect lots of flower stops and for those birdwatchers amongst us we may even spot the elusive ground parrot or eastern bristle bird.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(NEW!!!) A walk for those who love rock scrambling,pagodas in abundance, interesting slots, ramps, passageways and even squeezy bits! Needless to say this walk has all of the above including the Ultimate View and a place which will leave you breathing hard, the birthing canal pass! Actually for this trip I'll have a tape so if you don't want to experience the aforementioned pass you don't have to and you can climb down beside it. In any case you must be prepared for plenty of offtrack walking and some scrubbashing. Although this walk goes past the Citadel it's an optional climb for those who don't want to attempt it. In any case the views along Citadel spur will blow you away. Early meetup at Capertee is essential. rock scrambling

This narrowish slab of rock affords the cautious walker outstanding views of the surrounding clifflines all around and far down into Carne creek. We will also visit the wonderful Koan cave too as we progress along the towering escarpment. A walk for those with an adventurous spirit! rock scrambling and offtrack walking
