Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPhotography | A trip that has a strong focus on encouraging people to capture photographs.Public Transport | There are public transport options to and from this activity.(Updated Details) This walk forms part of the Great North Walk linking the centre of Sydney with Newcastle. Commencing at Thornleigh Station, we will make our way to the Thornleigh oval. Here we will leave suburbia and enter the Lane Cove National Park. As we descend into the valley we will enter Conscript Pass where a number of initials have been carved into the rocks. We follow the river to Browns Waterhole which is a shallow section of the Lane Cove River. The walk follows the river to De Burghs Bridge; the end of the walk. Here, walkers will have the option of catching a bus back to a Metro station or walking to Macquarie Park Metro Station. Hazards: Steep descent sections of track into the valley. The track could be rough in places where there has been water wash from recent weather conditions.
