Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longCar camping and day walks/short walks. Come and visit some parks that you may not even have heard of. Interesting and beautiful country, variety of walks. High country, but not like the Snowy Mountains. Joint walk with Bush Club. Some big climbs, but not excessive. All on tracks.

Accommodation | An activity that involves an overnight stay, using hard-roofed accommodation such as a cabin, hut or hotel.Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(Nearly fully booked) My wife and I are joining an Exodus Travels trip to Ecuador in November 2025 for 14 days, which will combine wildlife watching and walking, including visiting ancient ruins and some local culture thrown in. Strictly limited spaces, so if interested, please contact me asap. There is 1 place left on this trip. Before the Ecuador trip we'll be going on 2 short trips in Peru, one to Machu Picchu and another to a research station in the middle of the Amazon. Both of these are relatively cheap trips. View

The flannel flowers are abundant at this time of the year. The 10km Manly Scenic Walkway beings at Manly Wharf, passes sandy beaches, ancient Aboriginal sites and incredible lookouts, before arriving at the Spit Bridge where you can catch a bus to the city.
  • Distance and time: 10km one-way
  • Level: Grade 3 track. Suitable for most ages and fitness levels with occasional sections of stairs. There are also sections of sand, bush tracks and boardwalk. Not suitable for prams or wheelchair users.
  • Top attractions: Clontarf ReserveGrotto Point Aboriginal engraving site, Crater Cove Lookout, Forty Baskets Reserve and Manly.
  • Toilet facilities at the start and end of the walk and at Clontarf Reserve, Reef Beach, Forty Baskets Beach, North Harbour Reserve and Fairlight Beach.
  • Drinking fountains are available at Clontarf Reserve, Fairlight Beach and Manly.

Barangaroo , Circular Quay, Botanic Gardens, Art Gallery, Domain.
We stroll around Barangaroo headland to Circular Quay, past the Opera House and into the Botanic Gardens.
Options abound including "hugging" the Wollomi Pine, the Rose Garden, any special exhibits, coffee .
Art Gallery- members choice- about I hour.
Lunch here in the forecourt of the Gallery extension.or Gallery restaurant.
We then cross the Domain to  the Eye Hospital and Martin Place to the Metro or other train or bus and home.
Bring morning tea and lunch or buy.
