Fabulous views from Burramoko Head and a nice off-track walk to Crayfish Ck and Burra Korain Ridge. The downside is the road walking. Graded a 4 due to the off-track section. Fire trail, track, off-track with mild scrub, easy creek crossing.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long60 Best walks | This is one of the NPA's 60 best walks.(NEW!!!) Springtime is upon us and this walk will showcase a bounty of wildflowers that only the Sydney sandstone region can achieve! We will follow the eastern side of Girrakool Creek down over Piles Creek before heading south over Scopas Peak, then the Hawkesbury Track, the old Woy Woy Road, past the scout camp and back along the western Girrakool circuit back to the start. Expect lots of scenic lookouts, beautiful waterfalls, and of course a mass of wildflowers including Waratahs which should be coming into bloom.

The original inhabitants of the Canoelands area were the Darug people. The Darug were the custodians of the majority of what is now the Greater Sydney region. They were divided into a number of different 'clans', whose quick demise upon European settlement has sadly resulted in very little information remaining on how they utilised the local area. This is a very popular walk. The highlight of the whole walk is the incredibly picturesque Jerusalem Bay, which makes a great spot for a mid walk swim. At this time of the year, it is a wildflowers lover's paradise... Boronia, Grevillea, Tea Tree, Rice flowers, Pea flowers, just to name a few. Some rock scrambling and steep sections. Limit: 12. Spring is orchid time.  Sylvan Grove Native Garden has such an array of Rock Orchids. This year, the weekend will be dedicated to the memory of our good friend Jim Romanowski. After last year’s weekend, Jim twice asked to make it an annual event, so here it is. Drive to Newnes on Friday afternoon, share accommodation in the comfy and fully equipped Newnes cabins, or stay in the five-star camping ground. Friday night, the famous ukes will be back for a sing-along out the front of the pub. Saturday, a range of walks will be offered with various grades and leaders, the Glowworm Tunnel with a small canyon will be one. Saturday night includes surprise entertainment on the grassed area outside the pub including a toast to Jim. Sunday morning sleep-in then walk to the top of Mystery Mountain for brunch, great views and pagoda exploring. For those interested, a walk around the ruins on Sunday afternoon is available. Cost is approximately $120 pp for both nights in a cabin or $50 for a campsite. Leftover money will be donated equally to The Shepherd Centre and The Colong Foundation. Walks grades 3 and 4. View

To mark the anniversary of "Crossing the Blue Mountains 2020", we will do the "Magical Wentworth Falls to Lawson via Bruces Walk" again. Begin with the Maple trees lined streets of beautiful Wentworth Falls. It’s a memorable walk with wildflowers galore (Waratahs, Bearded Orchids, Sun orchids, Caladenia, greenhoods) waterfalls, caves, gum forests, sassafras’s forests, birdlife and majestic views. This walk is not for you if you don’t like creek crossings (5), steep climbs and vertical ladders (4). Steep and slippery sections, slides and rock scrambling.

Pretty well the grand tour of the Rumbalara Reserve, this walk takes in much of the great scenery the reserve has to offer. The walk covers both the lower and upper sections of the reserve and passes through the great variety of forest on show. The walk also passes three of the four bronze sculptures in the reserve. Yaruga picnic area would be a great spot to stop for lunch with it’s facilities and excellent views. Limit: 10. View

The Tahmoor Gorge circuit follows the very scenic Bargo River and includes the extremely beautiful Mermaid pools and a myriad of cascades and lesser waterfalls along the way. There is a high cliff line track too and we will follow both on this circuit. A walk not to missed especially as the spring flowers should be out in profusion. Rock hopping and some scrambling.

It consists of a walking/bike track beside the Mittagong Rivulet and 526 cherry trees that have been planted, dedicated to each and every soldier who died during the Vietnam War. The walk is particularly attractive in spring when the cherry trees are in flower. Incorporated into the design of the War Memorial has been a monument, inscribed with the names of the Australians who gave their lives in the service of their country. Then we continue to the Southern Highlands Botanical Garden. Limit: 12. View
