EU: Tallaganda Short Wildlife Film with Great Southern Forest Presentation and Q&A

The Tallaganda short feature covers the conservation issues of the endangered greater glider, the researchers who work to understand them and the activists seeking to protect their habitat in Tallaganda, Badja and Glenbog State Forests, which are still under threat from industrial scale logging. This film uses innovative techniques to record the natural behaviour of a range of gliders and other nocturnal species. The recordings of glider sequences are memorable. The groundbreaking recordings from inside a greater glider den tree by Ana Gracanin are also a film highlight.

Prior to the screening there will be a short Great Southern Forest presentation. Following will be a Q & A panel with the filmmaker, David Gallan and Joslyn van der Moolen. Tallaganda is also being screened on Sat 15 August at the Far South Film Festival, Merimbula.
