   Come celebrate Brad's birthday on this beautiful walk from Katoomba to Leura via Prince Henry Cliff Walk. It is about the best walk in the Blue Mountains. Great views. Waterfalls. Good tracks but muddy at times, steps, some street walking. Be rewarded with a coffee at one of the great cafes of Leura. You would not want to come home after this out of the world walk. No booking is required so just turn up on the day

Points of interest: Elizabeth Bay, Jones Bay, Darling Island, Wellcome Wall, Maritime Museum, Darling Harbour, Sydney Aquarium, Barangaroo, Crown Casino, Sydney Observatory, Observatory Hill, Bridge stairs, Argyle Stairs, Clock tower, Museum of Contemporary Art, Wollemi pine and First fleet park Limit: 15.

| Drive to 18 Mile Peg forest road, just past Termeil. Walk eastwards along forest roads and a short bush track to view Old Blotchy (a magnificent old Spotted gum). | From Termeil we will drive on the Old Highway and Middle Ridge forest roads to park in a forest clearing. The walk is along remote forest roads and a short but steep bush track to commune with “Big Spotty” (another magnificent old Spotted gum recently threatened by proposed logging in the surrounding state forest).  LEADER: Philip Wright Start with a coffee at the famous German bakery, Then walk to Wentworth Falls lake. The circuit around the lake shows you the serene beauty of the lake. Admire the water birds, sculptures and the flora...Maples, tea trees, grevillea ( specific to this area), isopogan, sun Orchid, wild strawberries, tree ferns, and of course Waratahs and rhododendrons flowering in October. There are more species unknown to the leader. Botanists are invited to join the walk to enrich our knowledge. If you are lucky, you will see redbellied snakes. On return to the station, you can treat yourself with the famous pastries at the German bakery.
