 Murramarang South Coast Walk Grade: 2 / 3 Medium Walk Distance: 8.6 km
Walk is on a formed trail up and down coastal headlands and onto the southern end of Emily Miller Beach past Dark Beach and Myrtle Beach through the enchanted forest of stunted spotted gums to the southern end of Richmond Beach. Then walk back via the Old Coast Road. Will have second lunch option and drinks at Murramarang Resort after.

Birdwatching and plant appreciation walk then 12.30 lunch at Mossy on Gardens at the Botanic Gardens. Meet at tables outside main building at 11am - forecast 29 degrees. We can advise on using the iNaturalist app on the walk (download the app and ask for the user guide) or how to lay a digital GPS track on your mapping program - handy survival skill.

Walk along coastal headlands and North Head beach to North Head lookout in Murramarang NP. Incredible views from cliffs and the lookout and twisted spotted gums. Meet at Maloneys Beach carpark below the steep stairs (north end of beach) try and come 15 minutes early to sign on etc. Location: Murramarang NP Limit: 20. View |
