  1. Clarke's Pt reserve, Kelly's bush: This is a beautiful short and simple route that explores Clarkes Point Reserve and the heritage-listed bushland, Kellys Bush Park, on the southern foreshore of the Woolwich area in Sydney.
  2. Churches in Hunters Hill: All Saints Church, Ferry Street, the Congregational Church Garden, Alexandra Street; across the overpass to St Joseph’s Convent, Gladesville Road and Rocher Avenue to Villa Maria,
  3. Boronia Park Reserve along the Lane Cove River. Along the route you can enjoy beautiful views over the water as you walk near sections of mangroves that hold a variety of bird and wildlife species. There are sections of boardwalk along the way to keep things interesting too.

Expect to see sun orchids, lady’s fingers orchids, native iris, pea flowers, tree ferns, sandstone formations, caves,Angophora, wattles, tall gum trees , and, of course, Calicoma. if you are lucky, you may see brown pigeons and lyre birds. Enjoy lunch at Cherrybrook Lakes. Crossing creeks, rough parts Limit: 15. View

On this walk, we will see Waratahs, Grevillea Speciosa, Boronias, Dillwynia, Banksia, Wattles, Pea Flower, Epacris, Rice Flower, Christmas Bells, Hardenbergia and more. Bonuses are beautiful old trees, Grass trees, magnificent sandstones,  waterviews to the Barrenjoey and Lion Island, visiting Pearl Beach and Patonga beach. It is a long day. Not suitable for someone who needs to get back by a certain time. Hazards: Some steep and slippery sections. Limit: 10. View

Philip has an insider's knowledge of the The Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan. The garden showcases Australian flora amongst 416 hectares of rolling hills, lakes, lawns and gardens. In the late 18th century, the discovery of a new continent filled with exotic plants unknown to the rest of the world created waves of excitement in the field of botany. The Australian Botanic Garden displays approximately 2000 of these plants via themed gardens across the site as well as the Connections Garden, a four-hectare intensely cultivated space right in the heart of the Garden. Other features of the Garden include a restaurant, visitor center with gift shop, free gas barbecues and acres of Cumberland Plain Woodland to explore. Come Spring, the paper daisies become an attraction for visitors. Various species of Waratahs will be flowering too. After seeing the floral display, we will walk to the Sundial, Mount Annan Peak, the Blue Tree before leaving the Garden to visit Lake Yandel'ora before catching the bus home. Expect a long day. Not suitable for walkers who need to get back by a certain time. Limit: 10. View
