Fitzroy Falls West Rim and East Rim Tracks provide spectacular views of the main falls, Twin Falls, the Grotto and the valley between the two tracks. The vegetation is very different on each of the tracks. Extension to Plane crash site off track. Return to the car park for Melbourne Cup Festivities. Slippery rocks. (Leader Changed) Starting from the Kells Creek car park we head down Kells Creek on a hard to follow track. We then head up to the fire trail and pick up the walking track down to 40' falls for lunch. If time permits, we might tack on an optional 400 m return trip to jnct of Nattai River. Anyone not wishing to do the extension can enjoy a longer break at the waterfall. Our last Tuesday walk for the year and a chance for a swim or relax at a couple of beautiful water holes. From the junction of Redhills Rd & Gunrock Falls FT, we will head through a forest to Gunrock Falls for an optional swim and relax. We will then head to Bundanoon Ck for lunch and optional swim before heading back to Redhills Rd via Gunrock FT. There will be a short car shuffle at the beginning of the walk so we don’t have to walk the 2.5 km along the rd at the end of the walk. Slippery rocks, unfenced cliff edges, a little scrambling.
