We will traverse a section of Tahmoor Gorge along the Bargo River from the bottom of Sally's Pass to the junction of the Nepean River. Swimming opportunities - bring your swimmers   TRANSPORT: 8:00 Carpool depart Bowral Pool 8:40 Rendezvous at Potholes Reserve (Mermaids Pool) car park. 8:45 Short drive to track head along Sugarloaf Rd. Off track navigation. Unfenced cliffs. Creek.

From the Rest Area we follow a track to the historic Black Bob’s Creek bridge where coal was mined for the Iron Works. Built for the Great South Road in the 1830’s, it still stands. From here the plan is to explore the creek downstream to Belanglo State Forest. Cliffs, high water levels, scrub, wet feet

Rough track, unfenced edges, slippery rocks, creek/river crossings, bites, stings, wet feet, environmental conditions.
