Specially designed itinerary by Trade Travel to include flights to and from Cairns, visits to local rainforest, talks by local experts on rainforest and reef, visit to art deco town Innisfail, guided excursions from Mission Beach into national parks and islands with historical/scientific talks and easy walks. Options to visit the reef and extend your stay.  Initiated by NPA Book Club from discussion of Iain McCalman's biography of conservationist pioneer John Busst. Costs tbc, about $4000 per person twin share.

Meet at Green Square Library at 8:30 am for coffee/breakfast at the cafe. Walk in Zetland, Alexandria, Rosebery area before having lunch. Points of interest include Yiu Ming Chinese Temple, old trees, Alexandria Park, modern industrial architecture, designer factory outlets, The Cannery, The Engine Yards, Lune Croissanterie, Turruwul Park,  Macedonian Orthodox Church,  The walk ends at the Drying Green where we will have a BBQ with Prosecco Meats Salads Ricotta Cake   RSVP closes 5 pm Friday 27 November.
