(Leader Changed) The walk begins at Manning Lookout near Fitzroy Falls.  Here there are great views over Kangaroo Valley.  The walk then follows the escarpment past several view points and along a fence line across a couple of small creeks to Crystal Pool.  The water leaves the pool to fall over the escarpment into the valley below.  Return by the same route. A repeat of last year's walk which was just awesome; one of the very best in Kosciuszko area.  Email for an information pack about the walk. A six-night full pack walk involving Daveys Hut, Kidmans Hut, and Mawsons Hut. Exact details will be determined by weather and other factors. We camp near these huts but not in them so everyone must be fully equipped for the variety of conditions in the area which can be very variable. We stay at ski lodge in Jindabyne for a night on either side of the walk with our regular BBQ overlooking the lake. We need some suitable cars in order to access the start of the walk. Always a pleasure walking in Kosciuszko area and this walk has everything: magnificent scenery; lovely bush; great campsites; and some challenging walking.  Not to be missed! From the junction we will pick our way down the Nepean to Maldon. Will require car shuffle. Partly unexplored so will need to be agile. Possible need to swim/float a section. LEADER: PHILIP WRIGHT Start with a coffee at the famous German bakery, Then walk to Wentworth Falls lake. The circuit around the lake shows you the serene beauty of the lake. Admire the water birds, sculptures and the flora...Maples, tea trees, grevillea ( specific to this area), isopogan, sun Orchid, wild strawberries, tree ferns, and of course Waratahs and rhododendrons flowering in October. There are more species unknown to the leader. Botanists are invited to join the walk to enrich our knowledge. If you are lucky, you will see redbellied snakes. On return to the station, you can treat yourself with the famous pastries at the German bakery. Limit: 10. View

Come along and explore a part of the Blue Mountains that few people have seen, but which ironically is not far off the beaten track! Megalong Creek is a water lovers paradise with so many gorgeous pools, cascades and waterfalls of sculptured granite to savour and photograph. We will follow the creek down to its junction with the Coxs River and Bowenfels bridge. Walk to Katoomba Falls Reserve. Descend the Furber Steps. Take the Federal Pass towards Scenic World. Walk across the landslide. Further on, we will look for the entrance to the Mount Rennie Tunnel. This tunnel was dug through to the other side of Narrow Neck. Return the same way. Plenty of steps. Steep, rough sections. Muddy sections possible. Location: Katoomba Limit: 20. View

Commencing at the Glow Worm Glen car park the path winds through forest with a couple of little creek crossings.  Continue on the track to the left of the Glow Worm Glen steps which winds along to Buchanans Lookout.  Optional opportunity to continue to Ellsmores Lookout.  Enjoy the beautiful view while having lunch and return by the same route. Leader:  Gee Phone: 0401 541 573  Family Friendly Nature Appreciation walk suit over eight years old. 10am meet at Sandmines Carpark, (unmarked on a map first left after McNee St, Broulee) to the Windsock Carpark and back again. Bring: Sturdy shoes, hat, water, sunscreen and insect repellant After: Lunch or snack at Broulee Brewhouse.  Optional: Swim at Bengello Beach. If people are swimming or not joining the group at the Broulee Brewhouse they need to let the walk leaders know at the end of the walk. If you could put a price on Nature, the Bengello sand plain between Broulee and the Moruya River is one of Eurobodalla's most valuable natural assets. Because the soils were too poor for agriculture the natural vegetation systems have stayed relatively intact. The area continues to support endangered forest ecosystems and significant coastal wetlands. These forests are significant habitat for many threatened fauna such as the Yellow-bellied Glider, Greater Glider, Powerful Owl, Sooty Owl, Barking Owl, White-footed Dunnart,  Gang-gang and Glossy-black Cockatoo. This stretch of Bangalay Sand forest, running roughly between the Fire Shed and the Airport is zoned E2, Environmental protection which means it is protected from any sort of development for now. A steep climb up Mt Durras, then walk across to Clear Point and stop for lunch. On the way back explore the new track along the coast back to Pretty. Some up and down hills, along rock platforms, up and down constructed steps. The walk is long but pace will be steady with plenty of time to enjoy the coast on the way back, including swims.
