Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long60 Best walks | This is one of the NPA's 60 best walks. This is one of my very favourite walks in the Blue Mountains as its comprises so many wonderful aspects in a single trip. First there is the series of spectacular waterfalls as we descend Victoria creek down to the Grose River at Burra Korain flat. Then there is the abundance of wildflowers at this time of the year all along the route including a huge amount of waratahs as we ascend the ridge up to Pierces Pass. Add to this some wonderful swimming holes along the Grose river along the way. All in all a walk not to be missed.

11 Oct, Sat 10:25AM Green Square to Ozharvest
Grade:2/6 Length 8km  100m Sydney Branch
(SWAG) Ken
Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(Date Changed)
We meet near the Library at Green Square and walk to Waterloo Metro Station.
This area has undergone amazing changes since colonisation.
There are numerous story boards detailing many of these .
We visit OZHarvest off Waterloo street and have the option to purchase lunch or at least coffee at their cafe.
At Waterloo Metro, members have the option of finishing and heading home OR taking the Metro to Central and using the Airport line to Wolli Creek.
There is a walk/cycle track from Wolli Creek to T1 Departure level at KSA.
There are other coffee and eating opportunities at KSA.
Some may like to spend time plane spotting before heading home either by retracing steps to Wolli Creek or catching the Airport Shuttle Bus to the Domestic Terminal and then a Metro Bus to Mascot Station.
Some may choose to use the International Airport Station to return to Central and beyond. The station access fee is about $18 with a Gold Opal Card.
Using Wolli Creek avoids that fee.
Distance: varies depending on options chosen: 5km to about 12 Km.
Grade: 2 - with minor climbs and descents. Walking is on footpaths and walk/cycle paths.
Either bring food or purchase. Do carry water and avoid dehydration.
Don't drink too much water however.
I have a personal story on dehydration which I will relate if walkers are interested.
