|(Fully Booked) Based at Lithgow and Rylstone we shall spend 9 days pagoda hopping and exploring some very interesting and scenic locations. Caravan, cabin, motel or camp.
Evans Crown, Goochs Crater, Hassans Walls, Deep Pass, BlackFellows Hands, Blackmans Crown, Dunns Swamps Pagodas and Ferntree Gully Nature Reserve.
All of the walks are short possibly 4km or less but you will need to be agile, enjoy exploring. Climbing and scrambling, can be some exposure at heights.

|5 Sep - 7 Oct, Wed-Sun||Slovenia and Croatia Hiking and Cycling|
|(Fully Booked) A trip to Slovenia and Croatia from 5 Sept to 7 Oct 2018. Need to be able to do the entire trip and to carry a 10-12 kg pack for 5 days in the Julian Alps in Slovenia, staying in hotels and mountain huts. This hike commences and finishes in Bled and is medium difficulty involving a 11 km, 620 mtr ascent; 10.5km, 1100mtr ascent; 11km, 700 mtr descent; 8.5km, 340mtr ascent and a 18ks, 1200m descent. There are two cycles. The first one is from Ljubljana in Slovenia to Porec in northern Croatia. Cycling for 9 days with daily distances from 35ksm to 57km. The second cycle is in the islands of Kvarner Bay in the northern Adriatic. It is a cruise and cycle covering 5 islands with cycling distances between 21km and 45km, difficulty grade 2 to grade 4. |The events at ‘Ahimsa’ provides a rare opportunity to visit the property and learn more about its background. There is no charge to attend. The National Trust Marie Byles exhibition panels will be on display at ‘Ahimsa’ and tell the story of Marie’s extraordinary life and interests. The panels will be on display from 12 noon to 4pm on 15 and 16 September, and combined with a Sunday afternoon Spring wildflower walk in Pennant Hills Park organised by the Beecroft-Cheltenham Civic Trust followed by afternoon tea in the Hut of Happy Omen. |Griffiths Walk is a circuit walk through varied vegetation including forest and open heathland. A short detour to a lookout gives views along the coast. There are many birds and a lovely lunch spot by the creek. Rough track, slippery rocks and creek crossing.

|Mid North Coast - Wallace Lake and Forster area. Day paddles on lakes and rivers in the area. Led by local paddler & NPA member, John Thorn; organised by Helen Moody. Joint activity with Illawarra Ramblers. Based at camp site. Day paddles, 12-20 kms plus rest day. Travel days 20/7 & 29/7. Please note that these paddling events are very popular and book out quickly. Expressions of interest to Helen by email. Make own accommodation arrangements. Please don’t book in unless very certain you will participate. Be mindful that pulling out at a late stage simply because of change of mind is unfair to people that have been turned away. Experienced paddlers with sit -in kayaks only. PFDs compulsory. Spray skirts compulsory on open water at leader’s discretion. Limit: 25. View|

|Red Rocks Nature Reserve is on the top of Mt Camberwarra. A rough fire trail leads out to a trig point overlooking Kangaroo Valley. On the return a side track leads out to Brown Mountain Lookout over the coast. Aboriginal rubbings are seen on both tracks. Rough track, unfenced cliff edges, slippery after rain.

|On this adventurous walk we will traverse over some of the best walking country the Gardens of Stone National Park can offer, with great views all along the way and superb campsites. We will start at Newnes and finish at Cape Horn, visiting and climbing MtDawson, Woolpack Rock and other attractions along the way. A trip to remember as no crowds, wilderness walking and hopefully lots of spring wildflowers will be out. Rock scrambling and off-track walking in many parts.

|Old Argyle Road. This is a circuit walk along Old Argyle Road into Penrose State Forest. Circle back through the forest crossing the upper reaches of Paddy's River to return to Old Argyle Road. Rough track, deep creek crossings need sandals, crocs etc.

|Flying Fox accessed by a fire trail has the remains of the flying fox used to bring timber up from the valley. The walk then returns to the Cooks Nose Lookout a wonderful lunch spot. On the edge of the escarpment there are spectacular views. Rough track often wet, muddy and slippery, unfenced lookout.

|This walk is along the first part of the Bonnum Pic Track. Leaving the fire trail there are a couple of steep gullies to negotiate before joining an old fire trail and then a bush track leading to the escarpment. Wild flowers are prolific and the view spectacular. Steep rough track slippery creek crossing, fallen trees, unfenced cliff edges.

|Full pack walk to the famed and remote “bushwalkers resort” in the rugged upper Kowmung River. Then two wonderful days to chill out at the best bush campsite in the Blue Mountains with nice side trips. The final day is a walk back up the hill to the cars (sigh!). A "resort" but still a solid full pack walk to get there and back. Mostly off-track walking.

|The first/last leg of the Harbour Circle Walk with short detours in Balmain, Pyrmont, and The Rocks/Barangaroo as time permits. Fully paved with plenty of steps, coffee stops, public amenities and a touch of Sydney’s history. No creek crossings, snakes or bunyips. Return from Circular Quay Station to catch 4.01pm train from Central.

|(NEW!!!) The Goulburn river is a delight to walk along with its grassy banks,colourful clifflines and a good campsite at Spring Gully to welcome the weary walker! Also the bird and mammal life is quite diverse with many species worth searching out.This is quite an easy backpack suitable for someone new to overnight camping. a bit of off track from the river to white box camp.
