A walk for those who love pagodas, rock scrambling and superlative views of the Capertee Valley and Pantoneys Crown. This walk was originally on the program back in October but bad weather had me postponing it until now. Rock scrambling and some off-track walking. Hidden gem: Reid Oval Circuit via Ferndale, Stringybark Creek and Fairyland. This beautiful walk loops around a section of the Lane Cove River. Starting at Fullers Bridge, the walk follows the Great North walk through the historic site of Fairylands to Epping road before crossing the Lane Cove river and heading up the other bank of the river, passing through a variety of environments including a Golf Course. The walk then returns to Fullers Bridge. It's best to have coffee at Chatswood. The cafe at the park delivers a slow service. If you wish to have coffee at the park, take the half hour earlier bus.
