This is a historic walk : http://heritagedrive.com.au/project/history-walk-faulconbridge-steam-saw-mill-site/ We walk from Linden to Faulconbridge. Visit an aboriginal site and the historic saw mill, and  a few rocky vantage points, which offered spectacular views of the valley. The track to the creek is steep and involves some rock scrambling but it is adorned with wild flowers of various colours, overhangs and caves.  Unfortunately this walk involves 4 km of street walking.     View videos of last two weeks' walks: CBM10 CBM11A View Esther's future walks Some scrambling, creek crossing, steep and slippery sections. Contact leader with details of NPA membership number, contact and emergency numbers. Walk from Hornsby Railway Station to the Great North Walk (GNW) track via the Bluegum Walk. In this area are old sandstone steps built during the 1930's depression. At the GNW track we will head in a southerly direction to The Jungo Rest Area. At the Jungo Rest area, we will veer to our left following the Zig Zag Creek until we come to a bridge across the creek. (at this point time permitting we will walk up to an old quarry.) The GNW track then goes to our right along a fire trail for a very short distance before we turn left along the last section of bush track as we enter suburbia. It is now street walking to Thornleigh Railway station. Slippery and muddy sections may be encountered. Possibility of fallen trees.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(Fully Booked) Gibbergunyah Nature Reserve is between Bowral and Mittagong. The walk takes in views of Mt Gibraltar. (Highest point between Sydney and Canberra), Ninety Acre Hill lookout and a track that leads through a beautiful fern gully. The track is sometimes overgrown and difficult to locate. Rough Track, steep sections, slippery rocks and unfenced cliff edges.

This provides a lovely lunch place among the rocks with wonderful views into Upper Kangaroo Valley. Rough track, fallen trees, unfenced cliffs and steep ascent/descent.

Rough track, fallen trees and unfenced cliffs.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long60 Best walks | This is one of the NPA's 60 best walks.From Stanwell Park Station (6.29 train from central) Arrives Stanwell Park station at 7.32 we start on the Wodi Wodi track ascending through the rainforest, crossing gorgeous creeks before reaching the Forest Track. Then up onto the spectacular Illawarra Escarpment for a superb scenic journey past too many lookouts to name. We will keep going all the way to Sublime Point for a well-earned lunch break and perhaps coffee and the strategically placed cafe there! Then its a descent via ladders down to Austinmer station and a train home. Track steep in places

Then up to Grose Rd and on to Tom Hunter Park. Follow steep track down to Springwood Creek and on to Springwood Station. A long walk but mostly on roads and trails. Creek crossings. Bring a torch just in case.

Walk from North Ryde Metro Station to the Lane Cove River via Great North Walk (GNW). Cross the river at Epping Road and leave the GNW. Walk and explore the various tracks along the river to Fullers Bridge where we will pick up the GNW again. Hopefully, we will be able to view Fairyland on the opposite side of the river. Proceed back to the North Ryde Metro Station. Possibility of muddy and slippery tracks. Fallen trees.
