|(Fully Booked) Rising up from the Wolgan Valley in isolation, Donkey Mountain has always had a great appeal to me and in this my 6th visit I'll explore a few nooks and crannies I haven't been to before! Be prepared to be knocked out by the superlative views from its pagoda studded summit and by the numerous small rooms, slots and passes as we travel from one end to the other. Rock scrambling and off-track walking.

|This week we are walking from Thirroul to Port Kembla. Walk as much or as little as you wish. There are exit points. 19 walkers took part in section 8 . 18 completed the 17 km 450 m walk. Slippery sections.

|From NPWS Pretty Beach Car park, ascend Durras Mtn along forest tracks. Descend to coast via the east trail and return via coast. Some rock–hopping. One of the best walks in the region! Note early start to beat the heat and leave time for leisurely lunch, swim/snorkel at Snake Bay.

|With train station at each end this walk explores the ridges and valleys around Berowra Waters. There are
plenty of excellent views, especially at Naa Badu Lookout and the many creek vantage points along the way. There are some solid climbs on this walk so be sure to allow enough time. And we can even have lunch midday! We'll need the rest before heading up the hill. Some steep sections.

|Walk past the present prison farm then out to the Nepean River at the end of Russel St. After a wander through Emu Plains we cross the new footbridge over the Nepean and on to Penrith. Mostly footpaths. Some gravel road. At the end of Russel St we follow old car tracks through the sand, grass and scrub; so not all smooth.

|The walk begins at Meryla Pass in Morton NP. From the locked gate continue on the fire trail along the ridge. There are several viewpoints which look towards Mt Carrialoo, Crankeys Creek and Lake Yarrunga until reaching the end of the track overlooking Wombat Hill. On the return there is an optional trail leading to Rebeccas View over Sandys Creek on the other side of the ridge. Rough track and unfenced cliffs.

Launch from Greenwell Point and paddle upstream into the Berry Canal to explore if we can get around any or all of Apple Orchard, Nobles, Mangrove and Haven Islands. Return past Orient Point to explore Goodnight, Crow and Billys Islands. PFDs compulsory. Medium grade.

|Pound the pavements on the northern foreshore of Port Jackson, starting from the Harbour Bridge via Taronga Zoo, Balmoral Beach & Spit Bridge and finishing at Manly Wharf. Facilities, coffee, water plentiful, along with wonderful views and some harbour history. A fast pace will be maintained given the distance. Possibility to rockhop from Balmoral Beach to the Spit depending on the weather. Joint walk with the Bush Club.

|Drive to Bulga on Putty Road and ascend Milbrodale Ridge. Walk west and climb Mount Whybrow. Continue west on Milbrodale Ridge for as far as the time permits. Return the same way. Rarely visited and very pretty area.

|Victoria Falls Road – Valhalla Head Fire trail – Folkvangr Head – Valhalla Head - Asgard Swamp – Asgard Swamp Mine – Asgard Fire trail - Victoria Falls Road. This is a walk to two heads, a swamp, an abandoned mine and fabulous views. We will visit a head not often seen. My previous two attempts to do this walk were thwarted by heat or rain. Track, off-track with mild scrub, cliff edges, creek crossing and fire trail.

|Find out why this part of the Gardens of Stone region must be protected for future generations. This is a walk of great contrasts. We will drive to a spot off the Great Dividing Range and make our way through the soaring pagodas into the stunning Hall of Elrond and then down into the green valley and to the edge of an open cut coalmine. Using another ridge, we will then make our way back up to the top of the Great Dividing Range and the cars through more stunning pagodas. Scrambling and exposure.
