Rough fire trail and unfenced cliff edges.

(Trip Fully Booked and Waiting list applies) The proposed itinerary will take us to many of the well known sights within these countries where we will see museums of craft and ancient and modern art, bazaar’s, local village life and crafts, mud volcanoes, learn about the Zoroastrian worship, see ancient rock paintings, visit a unique cave complex, ride the longest cable in the world, see the first official Christian church along with many more sight along the way. We will have several cooking master classes of the local food as well as visiting several wineries along the way. The tour also includes a 20km day walk through the Shahdag National Park, an 8 km day walk through Dilijan National Park, a small hike to what is called “The Symphony of Stones”, 4x4 jeeps to the foot of Mount Kazbek (2170m) and visits to valleys and waterfalls along the way. I expect to also visit Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve during our stay as lots of wildlife worth spotting within its confines. Optional rock scrambling.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFirst time friendly | A trip that is perfect for most new members (assuming you have a reasonable level of fitness)This walk is along the first part of the Bonnum Pic Track. Leaving the fire trail there are a couple of steep gullies to negotiate before joining an old fire trail and then a bush track leading to the escarpment. Wildflowers are prolific and the view spectacular. Walk starts at Wanganderry Fire Trail yards. Steep rough track slippery creek crossing, fallen trees, unfenced cliff edges.

The final day is a full pack walk back up the hill to the cars (sigh!). A walk that is short in distance but rugged in nature.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longMt Jellore is an outstanding landmark in the Southern Highlands. The walk follows a fire trail through private property to Mt Jellore. The final 150 metres are very steep and give access to a trig point. A little further on there are spectacular views. Return by the same route. Very steep and rough track, unfenced lookout.

Stokes and O’Hares Creeks enclose a succession of idyllic waterholes, three of which are accessed on this delightful walk. Keep looking up for those koalas! It's December and beautiful waterholes so bring your cossies 🙂 Well formed tracks/fire trails. One steep section of track. Some clambering down sandstone near swimming holes.
