Branch
General Community Event
Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longYuri Bolotin is organising another clean-up day - this one is in Bilpin, the village where they live, for the Wollemi Wilderness Cabins. This place, one of Bilpin's tourist attractions, has sustained extensive damage during the fires, with most of its grounds severely burnt. We are trying to help them to restore as quickly as possible, to bring people back to Bilpin and to the rest of the Blue Mountains. You are invited to join Yuri to spend a day as a volunteer to help clean up after the fires. There is much to do and only very limited resources. We will be guided by Lionel Buckett, who runs the Wollemi Wilderness Cabins. No special skills are required. You need to bring a good spirit, an open mind and a pair of hands. Note this is not a club activity. Everyone volunteers on their own accord. Please let Yuri know if you would like to join him, and he will get back to you with the logistics. You can see Lionel's place here, before the fires: www.wollemicabins.com.au View
