Esther | |||||
This is Part 1 of a 60 km, four-day walk, circling Sydney Harbour with the Sydney Harbour and Gladesville Bridges as its eastern and western points. This walk is co-led by Geoffrey Lee, Sheila Walker and Esther Chow.
This is a magnificent walk focusing on the Harbour itself – the expanse of water, the bridges, islands, urban bushland and city skyline. The route winds along parts of the foreshore, into bays and on to headlands, through bush, along historic streets and over grand bridges.
Part 1 starts from Circular Quay and finishes at Greenwich Wharf.
Bring water, snacks and lunch. Some slippery sections. Location: Sydney Harbour Map: Walking Coastal Sydney Limit: 12. View |

Rocks and Trees is the perfect way to learn about the geology that underpins the landscape and diverse flora of the Sydney region. The book journeys from the Illawarra along the coast to Newcastle and inland to the Greater Blue Mountains, staying within the framework created by the massive sandstones and conglomerates of the Triassic Narrabeen Group.
