On Cockatoo Island, 20 artists will present works echoing the history of the UNESCO World-Heritage-listed site around movement, migration, production and participation, including works that grow or morph over the course of the Biennale. http://www.cockatooisland.gov.au/whats/21st-biennale-sydney
We shall meet at Circular Quay Wharf 5 for ferry to Cockatoo Island, in time for morning tea. We shall then join the free guided tour at 11:30am (45 minutes) starting from Superposition Studio.
After the tour, we will explore historic Cockatoo Island at leisure and meet back at the wharf at 2pm for the 2:13 pm ferry, arriving Circular Quay at 2:40 pm.

Park vehicles at Airly Gap, GR 238 326. Walk south and then west following the alignment of the former tramway/self-actuated incline to the transfer station site then the double track skip haulage to the high level tunnel through the SW end of Mount Airly; climb the spur to the top of the SW corner of Mount Airly, inspect the crest /edge of cliff line before heading north to descend into a tributary of Gap Creek and hence back to the vehicles.
