Ridgewell Rd Trail, Hat Hill Creek Trail, and Bellington Trail. Includes a crossing of Hat Hill Creek and a short section of track with some nice views over Hat Hill Creek. From the old airfield, now an off the leash dog area, descend to Boyds Beach on Popes Glen Creek. Out and back from here to view the Horseshoe Falls from the Pupit Hill Track. Back to Blackheath via Popes Glen. Creek crossings could be slippery. Some sections muddy. Loose and clayey surfaces encountered on steep sections. Academic historians from universities around Australia will gather and have the opportunity to view 'Understorey' and listen to an expert academic panel about the political, social and ecological issues raised in the 'Understorey'. (Updated Details) Due to the continuing closure of Wentworth and Roberts passes the alternate route will include the Kings Tableland loop from Rocket Point and the Short Cut Track to the Conservation Hut and continue to Inspiration Point via Lilians Bridge. Similar Distance, less ascent.
(Original plan was) From Wentworth Falls Station follow Darwins Walk then descend to Wentworth Falls. Continue down Slacks Stairs and along Wentworth Pass. Branch off to Roberts Pass and ascend to Inspiration Point with good lookouts. Walk past the Fairmont Resort and follow the Nature Trail back to Wentworth Falls.
