|We walk in bushland with spectacular flora and coastal views. Opportunity to see whales. This is a long walk but you have the option to exit at various points. Geoffrey has done this walk many times and would like to share it with others. To reward ourselves, we'll have coffee/dinner at Chinatown(optional). Please join and support the first walk that he leads for NPA. Bring drinks, snacks and lunch. Water refill stations available along the way. Slippery sections.

|Ridgewell Rd Trail, Hat Hill Creek Trail, and Bellington Trail. Includes a crossing of Hat Hill Creek and a short section of track with some nice views over Hat Hill Creek. From the old airfield, now an off the leash dog area, descend to Boyds Beach on Popes Glen Creek. Out and back from here to view the Horseshoe Falls from the Pupit Hill Track. Back to Blackheath via Popes Glen. Creek crossings could be slippery. Some sections muddy. Loose and clayey surfaces encountered on steep sections.

|(Date Changed) Mt Alexander Circuit - Red Track. This walk follows the track through forest, along creeks and beneath the M5 Motorway. The Nattai River and Gibbergunyah Creek are crossed on the way. There are views and waterfalls along the route. Rough track, steep steps, slippery rocks and 4 creek crossings.

Academic historians from universities around Australia will gather and have the opportunity to view 'Understorey' and listen to an expert academic panel about the political, social and ecological issues raised in the 'Understorey'. Tom Griffiths, Professor of History and Director of the Centre for Environmental History at the Australian National University will chair the panel discussion of 'Understorey'. View|

|(Updated Details) Due to the continuing closure of Wentworth and Roberts passes the alternate route will include the Kings Tableland loop from Rocket Point and the Short Cut Track to the Conservation Hut and continue to Inspiration Point via Lilians Bridge. Similar Distance, less ascent.
(Original plan was) From Wentworth Falls Station follow Darwins Walk then descend to Wentworth Falls. Continue down Slacks Stairs and along Wentworth Pass. Branch off to Roberts Pass and ascend to Inspiration Point with good lookouts. Walk past the Fairmont Resort and follow the Nature Trail back to Wentworth Falls.

|From Hollow Rock on the Culoul Range, descend Bob Buck Pass 7 and following the river for two leisurely days along the beautiful Colo, camping in overhangs. Exit via Crawfords Pass. No need to carry water or tents. Steep descent, walking poles useful. Small rockface step-up on exit.

There will be speakers from National Parks Association, Nature Conservation Council, the Environment Defenders’ Office and local experts, as well as discussion and workshops on two main themes: recent changes to land clearing legislation affecting biodiversity (morning) and Mount Canobolas State Conservation Area: a case study in conservation (with reference to the draft plan of management - and a possible new major bike track development - due to be on exhibition soon).
