Stokes and O’Hares Creeks enclose a succession of idyllic waterholes, three of which are accessed on this delightful walk. Keep looking up for those koalas! It's December and beautiful waterholes so bring your cossies 🙂 Well formed tracks/fire trails. One steep section of track. Some clambering down sandstone near swimming holes.

The walk will extend towards Stony Creek at Kings Point so this is a fairly untrodden path for Wednesday walkers. Something in it for everyone! Good shade if the weather is hot. Coffee afterwards. Canyon | A trip through a canyon (a gully surrounded by tall cliffs).Swim | A trip that involves swimmingSlow pace | A trip where the leader will set an easy pace.The justifiably famous Wollangambe Canyon is a delight especially as we float through its wonderfully sculptured narrow confines on our lilos admiring the spectacular scenery including a short detour up Crayfish Canyon. There is no abseils in this canyon but being able to swim is important and a lilo/portable raft is essential. Rock scrambling and deep water so lilo is necessary.

A great introduction to canyons, no abseils, a beautiful little canyon, some scrambling, possible wet feet. Track, off-track with mild scrub, creek walking, minor scrambling.

Take into history, views over the Hawkesbury River, swamps, and farms. Plenty of grass trees, wildflowers, turpentine trees, majestic gun trees and sandstone rock formations around. Learn about the convicts and the Old North Road. Lots to enjoy at this beautiful walk. Steep and Rocky bits
