Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longSlow pace | A trip where the leader will set an easy pace.Two separate walks to two peaks in different areas of the beautiful Guula Ngurra NP, with a minor car shuffle. The Mt Penang loop walk follows a pleasant, well-formed track up to the summit of Mt Penang with its panoramic views. The track winds steadily uphill with a short, steep climb at the end. The Baldy Billy Peak walking track is an out-and-back walk to another summit with spectacular views down into the Wollondilly valley below. After an initial short but very steep descent we cross a pretty, wide valley floor and then start the slow, steady climb to the summit of Baldy Billy Peak and then return along the same route. Steep climbs & descents, uneven surfaces, indistinct track in places, unfenced cliff edges, slippery in places (walking poles recommended).

Within its deep sculptured walls, there are wonderful overhangs and sections of towering forest, along with a few superb waterfalls which we will visit along the way. Come see why this area should be included within the Gardens of Stone National Park. Rock scrambling.

Starting at Balmoral Beach with its little jetty and huge fig trees; to Middle Head to explore fortifications and cliff top views beyond the Heads; then through angophora trees to Georges Heights and barracks converted to artist studios; and on to Clifton Gardens for lunch. Then we will walk beside secluded bays to the navy memorials at Bradley’s Head. Then it is a short walk to Taronga Zoo for a Ferry to Circular Quay and trains home. Limit: 20. View

Paddle | A canoe or kayak tripA chance to explore a bit of the Hacking River that none of us have paddled but should be quite straight forward. From a perfect launch site at Swallow Rock Reserve, Grays Point, we paddle upstream to the fresh water weir at Audley which is just 3 km one way. After a wonder around and possible swim we will head back to Swallow Reserve. (total 6km). If anyone is interested in extending the paddle we can check out North West Arm (Gymea Bay) for around 8km (negotiable 😉 ) Tidal. Deep water. Possible wake from motorboats. Limit: 12. View

We will follow the fire trail along Devlins Creek to the junction with the Great North Walk (GNW). Follow the GNW until the Terrys Creek Track turnoff. Follow this track through various parks until we come to Terrys Creek Falls. We will then back track and walk to the Epping Railway Station. Possible sightings of flannel flowers and other flowers in bloom along this walk. The track could be rough and slippery in parts. Creek crossings.  Limit: 15. View

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) Red Ledge Pass is one of the many scenic passes off the Narrowneck that are worth a visit but still pose a bit of a challenge as it's steep in parts with a rough track only to the top of the pass with a bush bash down into the valley. Then it's a walk along to Devils Hole, which is very scenic with its small stand of rainforest and giant chockstone. Off-track and scrambling.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longSwim | A trip that involves swimmingFrom Steamers Beach carpark, we follow fire trails and a short on-road section to Stoney Creek for morning tea and a swim if hot. We then proceed southwesterly on rough tracks to Paradise Rock for lunch with a view, then a short but rough, steep and scrubby off-track section should land us on Steamers Beach for a snack and maybe another swim, and then the main track back to the cars.
