Sea kayaks essential (contact leader to discuss suitable kayak and experience), start and finish at the beach near Robertson Park, Military Road, Watsons Bay. Paddle past Camp Cove, Bottle Glass Point, Shark Bay, Steele Point, Shark Island, Rose Bay then back to Watsons Bay. Conditions: Open water, tidal, some heavy traffic. PFDs compulsory. View

We catch a ferry from Church Point to Elvina Bay where we walk around the shoreline to Flagstaff Lookout, the YHA Hostel and then wade across Morning Bay and ascend the old YHA track to a spectacular lookout. The Bairne Track then takes us to Soliders Point and Bennets Wharf for the ferry ride to Palm Beach.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longEarly start. Numbers are strictly limited. Park at GR 342 178 on Wolgan Road. Walk north west, then north, then north east towards Woolpack Gap. Stay underneath the cliffs and try to find a way up at about GR 347 205 (alternatively, traverse further east to Collett Gap). Once on top, walk west to the lookout point at GR 341 203. From here, walk north east and down underneath the cliff line above Red Rock Creek, at around GR 342 210. Traverse underneath the cliff line all the way to Woolpack Gap, descend through the pass and walk back to the cars. Exploratory. Scrambling and exposure.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPark the vehicles at around GR 306 175 on the branch road off the Bicentennial National Trail. Follow the Great Dividing Range north to Gordian Knot and then to Witches Watch, a spectacular lookout above Hecates Cauldron. From here, descend into the Cauldron and explore it underneath the cliff lines and also above, amidst “the bubbles”. Visit the Tower of Hope and other attractions. Descend into the headwaters of Baal Bone Creek, cross the valley and climb up through Tara Slot onto Tara Point. More amazing views. From here, move up to the ridge and re-connect with the vehicles. Unbelievable views, rock formations and pagodas. Scrambling and exposure.
