  Save Kosci: day 7. A 17km day, mostly downhill or flat. Walking to Hill Top village on the dis-used railway line, to avoid the narrow verges and cuttings of Wilson Drive. Then some quiet side roads, a bit of busier road. In Colo Vale we start to encounter the wide, mown verges that are a feature of the garden-proud Southern Highlands. The fringes of Mittagong provide another good opportunity to drop hand-outs in letterboxes. Allow 5 to 6 hours walking time. Suggested accommodation – Melrose and Mittagong Motels.
