 Start at Newnes Campground and walk up the Pipeline Track to about GR 447 274, then climb north west to the saddle and continue north on the ridge till GR 445 275. Descend and investigate a major slot to the west. Then, investigate the second major slot 400m north, approaching it either from the bottom or from the top. Exit via Petries Slots Pass at GR 440 283. This plan will be modified frequently during the walk as the terrain is very dissected and full of surprises. Hazards: Exploratory. Scrambling and exposure.
