WEA/Unions NSW event. Learn about this celebration that was first celebrated in Australia by striking shearers at Barcaldine in Queensland in 1891. The course will include a light lunch followed by a short walk to Sussex Street, for a guided tour of Unions NSW's May Day display and their historic Banner Room. This course will also acknowledge the contribution that the union movement has made to the environment movement including the outstanding contribution that the Green Bans made in protecting Sydney’s urban environment.
