Commencing from Kedumba Valley Road descend and cross Kedumba River. Steep ascent to Mt Solitary. Continue uphill to eventual descent of the Koorowall Knife-edge. Follow Ruined Castle Ridge Track with a steep ascent up the Golden Stairs to the finish line. A classic Blue Mountains walk with two big up and down sections. Hazards: Cliff edges, river crossing, loose rocks and slippery sections.
